Are the utilities included in the rent?

No the utilities are paid in addition to the rent however, the costs are very reasonable at approximately £40 per month for electricity and water.  The bills are paid directly to the suppliers therefore, tenants pay for what is used.  Council tax is also payable by non students.  The costs can be checked at www.direct.gov.uk.

Is internet available in the apartments?

Ask4 is the internet supplier for the building and their prices start at just £16 per month.  Simply connect your internet cable to the socket in the living room and the website will come up immediately .  You can then pay online and it will work immediately – no modems or routers required!  However, if tenants prefer to bring their current internet supplier e.g. BT or Sky there are telephone points in the bedroom and living room which will enable the connections.

How do we report repairs?

If tenants have rented through a private landlord or Letting Agent then they will be responsible for your repairs.  However, the building has an onsite maintenance engineer and a building manager who are always able to assist in case of emergencies or if you have any other queries.

Is Parking Available at Q4?

We are in the process of arranging parking at the end of our building which will provide spaces for approximately 6/7 cars for which a fee will apply.  Parking can also be rented from surrounding developers, please call 0114 272 3375 for more information on this.
